The Sustainability in Lappeenranta website will now showcase the city’s sustainability work – the Greenreality brand will be used by the business-oriented network
Since 2016, the City of Lappeenranta has communicated and presented its sustainability work under the Greenreality Lappeenranta brand.
In the future, the Greenreality brand and greenreality.fi website will be used by the Greenreality Network, which is a business-oriented network for energy and environmental actors operating in South Karelia.
From now on, the sustainability topics of the City of Lappeenranta will be showcased in their own Sustainability in Lappeenranta section on the city’s website.
– Sustainability is a cross-cutting theme that is considered and implemented in various city services. Sustainability in Lappeenranta will not be a new brand, but a section that brings together our sustainability subjects, says Environmental Director Ilkka Räsänen.
– With this change, we want to strengthen the city’s agency in sustainability work and at the same time, clarify the city’s brand entity, continues Communications and Marketing Manager Sami Soljansaari.
The Sustainability in Lappeenranta website section will introduce the city’s role in different sustainability themes and offer information about climate, nature and circular development. Among other things, the section also contains sustainability tips for citizens’ everyday life.
– Lappeenranta is internationally known as an active participant in climate work in the EU region. Taking this into account, the Sustainability in Lappeenranta content will also be accessible in English, tells Räsänen.
The Facebook and Instagram accounts of Greenreality Lappeenranta will now be used for the Sustainability in Lappeenranta content and they have been renamed in Finnish as Kestävä Lappeenranta. These channels share content related to the city's sustainability issues and residents’ everyday sustainability tips.
