Welcome to your new hometown, Lappeenranta!

In Lappeenranta, there’s no unnecessary fuss. Things are done here in a relaxed yet determined way — with a twinkle in the eye and both feet firmly on the ground. We meet people as people, we are willing to try new ideas, and working together comes as naturally as a conversation with a stranger in a grocery store queue.

Lappeenranta is just the right size. Large enough to offer opportunities, yet uncomplicated enough to make things happen.

You will receive mail from us once your records have been transferred to Lappeenranta. The postcard intended for our new residents includes benefits to welcome you to your new hometown. The cards are mailed to households once a month based on the relocation information we receive from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency.

The benefits indicated on the card can be redeemed at the customer service center Winkki for the city theater and orchestra, and at the respective counters for museums and swimming pools. Each benefit indicated on the card can be used only once. The customer service representative will mark a cross on the card next to the used benefit in either the Finnish or English column.
