The tickets and prices in Lappeenranta region public transport
There are currently two ticketing and payment systems in use in the Lappeenranta region.
Waltti in Lappeenranta and Ridango's iLippu in Imatra.
The Lappeenranta region has 3 public transport zones.
Zone A, Lappeenranta local transport area
Zone D, Imatra local transport area
Zone B, other public transport area (B+C)
Single tickets
You can buy single paper tickets from the bus driver with cash, Visa or MasterCard. Single ticket is valid for 60 minutes and you are able to transfer within the zone(s) the ticket is valid in. Please see the zones in Jouko Journey Planner.

Mobile ticket
You can buy mobile tickets for Lappeenranta public transport from the PayiQ tickets app, Matkahuolto's Routes and Tickets app and OnniBus's Bus Ticket Shop.
In Imatra, mobile tickets are provided by the PayiQ Tickets app.
Mobile tickets are valid from the moment of purchase. Show the QR code of your mobile ticket to the reader when you board the bus.

Jouko travel card
If you ride a bus often or even every now and then the cheapest way s to buy a Jouko travel card. You can top up your card with a season ticket or value, i.e. money, to pay for individual journeys. The card costs 5 euros.
Value tickets
To buy a value ticket you need a Jouko travel card with some money. All value tickets are valid for 60 minutes and include the possibility to transfer within the zones you have paid for. Silent time prices are valid on workdays after 17:30, on weekends and on National Holidays.
Senior citizens have silent time discount prices also on workdays 9–14.

Season tickets
With a season ticket you can travel as many times as you want to. The season ticket is valid for 30 days and you can buy it for 1, 2 or 3 zones. Please see the zones in Jouko Journey Planner.

Day tickets
They day tickets are available in the mobile applications. Please see mobile ticket operators PayIQ, Onnibus and Matkahuolto.
The validity of the day ticket is 24h from the first stamp.
For the AB zone, you can currently only buy day tickets via the PayiQ mobile app.
90 days season ticket (summer ticket)
90 days summer season ticket is sold from 1st May to 31st May and it is valid 90 days from the first validation but no longer than to 15th September.
