Berrypicking- New!

Welcome adults and children to join  a free blueberry picking try out!
The first events next week are more about learning to recognize what the plant and the few berries that are already mature look like.
By the time of the next events in August there are much more berries to pick. Please bring your  own bucket or box for the berries. 
No registration or fees.

Starting point Daycare Center Pilke/Norppa.  Minkinkatu 1. (near Sammonlahti)

Learn to take great Nature Photos  

These events are for anyone interested in learning taking pictures.
You don´t need a digital camera - this is not a technical class.

Mushroom information

Mushroom picking is fun, and mushrooms are healthy and nutritious. But if you pick the wrong ones, they can be deadly toxic! 
Here are several events  were you can ask  members from the  Martha Association   about mushroom

Hiketrip

Traces of the Ice Age trail /Savitaipale 

Saturday September 6th, starting at 9 am .  Please note-new date! 

Whole day, rather demanding, hiking trip. Total walking distance about 11 km 

Carpool from Lappeenranta with start here at Prisma parking plot (Lidl side entrance)
The hiking starts here  Myllylammentie 311.
The rather hilly trail  goes through forest landscapes and passes a small lake.
We reach  an ancient residence reconstructed in prehistorical style.
Here is also a fireplace where you can enjoy your  snacks.
