Integration plan pursuant to the Act on the Promotion of Immigrant Integration
The integration plan includes measures and services that support your opportunities to acquire sufficient language skills and other skills needed to participate in Finnish society.
The integration plan defines your integration period, which is usually three years, but it can be extended up to five years on the basis of specific criteria.
You will have the opportunity to receive interpretation in your mother tongue when the plan is being drawn up.

Requirements
The integration plan is intended for immigrants in the municipalities of South Karelia in the early stages of immigration. An integration plan can be drawn up by the municipality if you are not registered with the TE Office as a jobseeker.
However, you must first participate in the initial assessment to assess whether you need an integration plan.
The first integration plan can be drawn up in the first three years after the first residence permit or residence card has been issued or the right of residence has been registered. The first integration plan will be drawn up for a period of up to one year.
For minors who have arrived unaccompanied without a guardian and received a residence permit, an integration plan is always drawn up by the municipality or TE Office.
Instructions
Please book an appointment for drawing up the integration plan with one of the four offices of South Karelia Immigrant Services. When you make an appointment, an employee will assess whether an integration plan will be drawn up for you by the municipality.
