A veterinarian on duty can be reached at +358 600 17070 after telephone calling hours, outside office hours from 4 pm to 8 am, and on weekends/public holidays. Calls to the veterinarian on duty are subject to a charge (At 4–10 pm EUR 1.73/min + local network rate. From 10 pm to 8 am EUR 3.46/min + local network rate).
The on-duty veterinary service is intended only for urgent cases that require immediate treatment. The Lappeenranta Region Environmental Office has one veterinarian on duty at a time. Service fees
The owner is responsible for the costs of the treatment of the animal. Payment is made to the veterinarian by card or cash. Outside office hours, the visit and treatment fees are increased by 50–100%. Clients will also be charged the Lappeenranta small animal clinic fee (€7 + possible equipment costs).
