Mattila beach
The Mattila artificial pond beach is maintained by the city. The Sports Department maintains the beach (cleaning, waste management, toilets), and the Lappeenranta Region Environment Department monitors its water quality. A fitness trail and a disc golf course run around the Mattila pond, and there is a sand sports field next to it.
