Finna is a joint user interface of Finnish museums, archives and libraries. It allows you to search and view digital material from museums, archives and libraries.
The Museums of Lappeenranta Finna view allows you to explore the material in the museum collections online. Currently, Finna includes information about some 16,000 photographs in the museum’s picture archive, depicting Lappeenranta’s cityscape, the Cavalry and South Karelia’s industrial and building heritage. There are also photographs and postcards from Viipuri and the ceded municipalities. The accessibility and use of the collections are improved by constantly publishing more collection material.
The digital photographs published in Finna by the Museums of Lappeenranta are mainly freely available under the following license: CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0.
