The Dream Year of Culture brings workshops to Ohjaamo and the Community House in autumn

Lappeenranta's Dream Year of Culture 2024 – Inclusion and wellbeing for townspeople The Open call for workshops was held from 1.8.–26.8.2024. Dream Year of Culture coordinators received 10 good applications for the autumn 2024 workshops, from which  two implementations were selected. There will be implemented Sami Kettunen's Theatre workshop at Ohjaamo and Heidi Korhonen's Journey through the world of dance workshop at the Community House.

Journey through the world of dance workshop

Welcome to join a journey through the world of dance! Within this workshop, you will get to know different dance genres and styles from all around the world. Class consists of a warm-up, technique practice and weekly changing choreography. In addition, we do short stretches at the end of the lesson. Please reserve comfortable sports clothes and a drinking bottle for the lessons. You can dance either in socks or in indoor shoes.

Workshop is held on Mondays starting from 28th of October until 9th of December at 15.00–16.30 at The Community House located in Raastuvankatu 7. Register for the workshop by e-mail anni.pellikka@lappeenranta.fi or by phone +358 40 5590710.

The workshop is part of Lappeenranta's Dream Year of Culture 2024 and is open to all participants and also free of charge.

Theatre workshop

In this workshop you will get to know acting and theatre. There will be practices on improvisation, feelings ja interaction. And there will be also some practices different kind of scenes with improvisation and script. Theatre Workshops are for 17–29-years old and will be held in Ohjaamo (Address: Anni Swaninkatu 7, 53100 Lappeenranta) 28.10– 9.12.2024, every monday at 16.00–17.30.
