Lappeenranta Parishes' mobile social work SerkKu van
The parish's and partners' mobile social services van, SerkKu, will be at the event providing multi-disciplinary advice, guidance, and discussion help for various life situations and challenges, as well as showcasing its activities.
Lappeenranta Military Home Association's Sales Tent from 10 AM to 4 PM
Selling coffee, donuts, famous "telamiina" donuts, and various military home items.
Near the Majurska House
South Karelia Children's Culture Center Metku offers workshop activities. Distributing Willipassi task books and Sara the Saimaa ringed seal and Kuisma the seal pup comic books.
Lappeen Tuulitytöt ry, a girl scout group in Lappeenranta, will be distributing balloons.
South Karelia Waste Management presents its activities and provides guidance on sustainable waste management.
UNICEF Lappeenranta volunteer group has been active since 1985. They will be at the event with a charity collection and presentation of their activities.
Kalevalaiset ry showcases their activities and airs out national costumes.
Lappeenranta Sports Department brings sports equipment for borrowing and other small activities. The Cultural Department showcases the Dream Year of Culture and its programs and events. Greenreality discusses sustainable actions in our city.
The theme of South Karelia Immigrant Services' stand is a multicultural community.
Along with South Karelia Immigrant Services, the NordConnect project and Nicehearts/community house will be present, as well as several volunteers. The stand offers a variety of programs for visitors of all ages. There will be henna tattoos and flag crafts from different countries for children. We encourage everyone to wear their national costumes if they have one. You can also get photographed at our stand if you wish.
Other Side Events in the Area
The fortress museums (South Karelia Museum, Lappeenranta Art Museum, Cavalry Museum) have open doors. The museums also organize the Mukulakiviä ja maisemia ("Cobblestones and Landscapes") tours at 12 PM and 3 PM. The tour delves into the history of the fortress.
Taidekoulu Estradi circus artists will entertain in the area from 10 AM to 1 PM.
The fireworks concluding the celebration day at 11:30 PM will be launched from Lake Saimaa, so we recommend watching them from the event area, for example, Katariina Square.
