Public transport in the Lappeenranta region uses a customer survey to collect information and feedback about public transport services in the Lappeenranta and Imatra areas. The online survey, open from 15 November to 15 December 2024, can be answered via the city of Lappeenranta's website or the attached QR code.

The survey is intended for all residents of Lappeenranta and Imatra who live in the public transport area of the Lappeenranta region, regardless of whether they use public transport. Public transport manager Terhi Koski says that by answering the customer survey, residents of the area can give feedback and influence its further development.

− The survey measures the current level of service, and in the future, it can be used to monitor how successful the renovation work has been in the opinion of the area's residents and what could be further improved.

Three 30-day season tickets or a similar-value ticket will be drawn from among all those who answered the survey and left their contact information.

The survey is now expanding to cover the entire public transport area of the Lappeenranta region

The public transport areas of Lappeenranta and Imatra merged at the beginning of 2024 to form the Lappeenranta region public transport area. Public transport in the Lappeenranta region is responsible for public transport within Lappeenranta and Imatra as well as inter-city transport and organizes public transport services within the framework of the payment shares assigned by the cities towards service level goals.

The city of Lappeenranta has been conducting a local transport customer survey since 2012. Now, the survey is being expanded to cover the public transport supply of the entire Lappeenranta region. The survey is divided into four options: 1. Lappeenranta local transport, 2. Imatra local transport, 3. Lappeenranta - Imatra regional transport and 4. Lappeenranta local transport. You can answer one or more areas in the survey if you wish.

Through similar surveys from 2012 to 2023, a lot of valuable feedback and development proposals have been received in Lappeenranta, which has also been implemented. Among other things, the public transport pink Jouko brand, created together with the local residents, has been visible in Lappeenranta's local transport since 2020, and the Jouko look has been extended to, for example, Lappeenranta's city bikes - in the future, the brand will be seen more and more as a regional brand and part of sustainable mobility, says Koski.

− In addition, implemented development activities include the launch and development of the regional public transport area, the participation of Imatra residents in Jouko filming, updating the Jouko 2.0 brand look, updating the service level goals of Lappeenranta and Imatra public transport, participation in various residents' meetings and events, the introduction of Jouko-some, electric buses for local transport in Lappeenranta, reducing the number of zones and unifying ticket products and prices.
