In the second phase of the project, during the 2025–2026 heating season, the solution will be piloted in commercial and public service buildings where ventilation heating accounts for the largest share of heating energy consumption. These properties are technically more demanding to implement, requiring more advanced indoor climate monitoring to ensure that demand response actions and heating control measures remain safe from a building performance and occupant comfort perspective.

These buildings often have higher overall energy consumption and larger heated volumes compared to residential properties. However, they also typically already include more advanced energy-efficiency solutions and heating technologies. As a result, this property segment may offer some of the most significant opportunities for high-quality energy savings.

The second pilot phase includes schools, daycare centers, the city hall, a sports hall, a swimming hall, the city theatre, and hospital buildings.
