Answer Lappeenranta Region Public Transport customer survey and help shape our services – travel tickets will be raffled among respondents
Public transport in the Lappeenranta region uses a customer survey to collect information and feedback about public transport services in the Lappeenranta and Imatra areas. The online survey, open from 26 October to 12 November 2026, can be answered via this link or the city of Lappeenranta's website or the attached QR code.
The survey is divided into three sections: 1. Local transport in Lappeenranta, 2. Local transport in Imatra, and 3. Regional transport between Lappeenranta and Imatra. You can respond to one or more sections of the survey. The survey is intended for all residents of Lappeenranta and Imatra who live in the public transport area of the Lappeenranta region, regardless of whether they use public transport.
By responding to this survey, you can help shape the development of public transport in the Lappeenranta region, says Marko Iljinen, Acting Head of Lappeenranta Region Public Transport.
− Through the survey, we are assessing the current level of service and can use the feedback to help develop it in the future. All responses and feedback are valuable information for us.
Three 30-day season tickets or a similar-value ticket will be raffled from among all those who answered the survey and left their contact information.
Customer feedback has contributed to the development of the service
The public transport areas of Lappeenranta and Imatra merged at the beginning of 2024 to form the Lappeenranta region public transport area. Public transport in the Lappeenranta region is responsible for public transport within Lappeenranta and Imatra as well as inter-city transport and organizes public transport services within the framework of the payment shares assigned by the cities towards service level goals.
A public transport customer survey was conducted throughout the region for the first time in 2024. A similar survey was already conducted in Lappeenranta in 2012–2023. We have received a great deal of valuable feedback and suggestions for improvement through our annual customer surveys, and we have also implemented many of these suggestions, says Iljinen.
− For example, the pink Jouko public transport brand, which was developed together with local residents, has been visible in Lappeenranta’s local public transport since 2020 and, following the new operating contract, has also been used in Imatra’s local public transport since summer 2026. Going forward, the brand will increasingly be visible as a regional brand and as part of sustainable mobility.
Other improvements that have been implemented include an update to the Jouko 2.0 brand identity, changes to public transport timetables and routes, participation in various local resident events and other events, the introduction of Waltti Mobiili and contactless payments throughout the region, and the introduction of gas-powered buses to Imatra’s local public transport.
