Free video art screening at Kulttuuritila Nuijamies on 14th of November
 
            The video art screening named Where do you come from, where do you belong?, jointly organized by three associations, presents video art from different parts of Finland. Now it is possible to experience this screening at Nuijamies in Lappeenranta in a cinema setting on 14th of November 2025. The screening includes 12 works and has a total duration of 75 minutes.
The screening, which presents the works of member artists of the South Karelian Artists' Association, the Finnish Jewellery Art Association and MUU ry, includes the following artists: Elisa Alaluusua, Valentina Gelain, Maja Jantar, Leena Kela, Ninni Korkalo, Leena Pukki, Irina Raski & Teemu Heikkinen, Anna Rikkinen, Hanna Ryynänen, Jukka Silokunnas, Nelli Tanner and Heli Valkama.
A discussion will be held in connection with the screening, where artists Valentina Gelain, Heli Valkama and Hanna Ryynänen will talk about their art, led by museum curator Petra Lukkari.
Where do you feel you belong, where is your home? Physical, spiritual or geographical place has different meanings, as does atmosphere, milieu and soul landscape. The selection of works for the home-themed screening was carried out by the members of the selection committee, artists Leevi Lehtinen (MUU), Eija Mustonen (Finnish Jewellery Art Association) and Susa Walve (South Karelia Artists' Association).

Immediately after the video screening at 21, the band Cleaning Woman will perform at the Kulttuuritila Nuijamies.
