We are now looking for arts and cultural workshops for the autumn of the Dream Year of Culture 2024 for the Community House and Ohjaamo. All different artistic genres are welcome to apply. The workshops at Ohjaamo are aimed at 17–29 year olds and the workshops at the Community House are open to everyone. The workshops are free of charge for participants. The aim is to enable creatives to work professionally, showcase their skills and create low-threshold cultural experiences that promote inclusion and well-being and inspire people to engage with culture.

This targeted reverse call for workshop content is open from 1st to 26th August 2024. Period of implementation will be 1.10.–31.12.2024. The workshops (7x1.5 h in Ohjaamo and 7x1.5 h in the Community House) will be scheduled between the Community House, Ohjaamo and the selected cultural operators from October until December 2024. The Community House will be available for workshops on Monday afternoons from 7th October to 9th December 2024 at 15–16.30 in the Community House hall. The workshops are pre-registered and the same group will meet for the whole workshop.

Applicants can be cultural professionals: individual self-employed artists, associations, cooperatives and companies. Artists will be selected on the basis of applications. The selection criteria are the description of the content and its suitability, the interest, the conditions for implementation, existing references and the ability to present the project.

Offer your workshop content as part of the Dream Year of Culture 2024! A fee of €1000 for the workshop package (including VAT%, production of communication and marketing materials, materials, facilitator's fee, preparation and planning work, travel and other incidental and production costs).

In the workshops, compliance with the Safer Space principles is part of the activities. The workshop organiser commits to use the South Karelia event calendar, to produce marketing material with the required logo (EU logo, the Dream Year of Culture logo) and to inform project actors about the number of participants.
