The City of Lappeenranta is looking for cultural programme proposals for several events
The application period is 15.4.–15.5.2025. Individual artists and cultural operators, entrepreneurs or associations can apply.
Applications are submitted via the application form. The form is in Finnish, but answers can be submitted in English. The form asks for contact details, type of art, choice of the subject of application, references, a description of the content and a budget. The references mean: educational background, skills in the field of arts and culture and the most relevant work experience, proving the capacity to carry out the activities.

5 x open concept culture pop-ups “Kulttuuritupsahdukset”
The City of Lappeenranta is looking for five open culture pop-ups. The program can represent any artistic genre or cultural heritage and be located anywhere in Lappeenranta. The event must be free of charge and open to the public. The city will buy five contents of 1000 €, including all costs.
Program for events and libraries
Mariannen nimpparit (Marianne’s name day) event in Pusupuisto 14.8. 16–20
We are looking for 5 different program numbers, duration 30 minutes or 2x15 minutes. The event is a collaboration with Fazer. The whole family event combines food and art and the program happens outdoors in the park. The offered program can happen in the front of the stage on the sand field in Pusupuisto park (sound system can be provided) or program can be moving around the area among the audience. A compensation of 500 € per program is provided.
International House South Karelia launching event on 29.8. at 14–17, Cultural Venue Nuijamies, Lappeenranta
The aim is to showcase the diversity of skills that our region has to offer through the people who have moved to South Karelia from different countries.
We appreciate that a presentation or program reflects cultural and/or linguistic diversity and accessibility (there may be people from different language backgrounds at the event, so it is recommended that the program is understandable even for people with less knowledge of Finnish or English). The performance/program will take place at the Cultural Venue Nuijamies.
We are looking for a total of three performances/programs. This could be a performance of about 10–15 minutes on the stage in the hall or a longer program (about 30 minutes) as a side activity during the coffee in the lobby (such as a workshop-style activity). The program may include an element of participation of the audience/guests.
The space will allow for:
- Coloured lights (only in the hall)
- A screen for a background slides/video
- Background music (self-supplied)
- A technician from Nuijamies will be present.

Autumn program for libraries
Libraries of Lappeenranta are looking for a total of five programs worth 500 euros for the autumn season, two for the main library and one for each the libraries of Joutseno, Lauritsala and Sammonlahti. Programs to the main library can be offered from 6.12.2025 and to the side libraries from the beginning of September to the end of the year 2025.
Workshops
2 x movement workshops for people with mental health challenges
The sports department of the City of Lappeenranta is looking for two different workshop organizers for people with mental disabilities. The workshop will support participants' mental well-being and experiences of inclusion. During the workshop, participants will be required to engage in some form of physical activity, such as dance, circus or yoga. One workshop includes 7 sessions. The first one will take place in August–September, the other in late autumn. Facilities will be provided. Further details will be agreed with the workshop organizer. The organizer of the workshop will receive 1000 € compensation, including possible material and other costs.
1x art workshop to Lappeenranta Art Museum
One workshop will be selected by Lappeenranta Museums. The workshop will be held in the Muusa space in the Lappeenranta Art Museum on 8–9 November 2025.The space has chairs and a few tables. The recommended number of people in the workshop is around 15–20. The cost of materials is included in the 1000 € workshop fee.
