Theatre Workshop

28.10.–9.12.

Mondays at 16–17.30

In this workshop you will get to know acting and theatre. We will practise improvisation, feelings ja interaction. We will practice different kind of scenes with improvisation and script. Theatre Workshop is for 17–29-year olds.Instructor: Sami Kettunen .

Light to Darkness through Dance

At 13–14

Sports Hall (Address Pohjolankatu 29)

In the darkest time of the year, may dance bring us joy, joy and light! In this two-day workshop, we will focus on Afro dance, which we will dance to happy and rhythmic music. The class consists of a warm-up, easy choreographic part and relaxation at the end. Participation does not require previous experience in dance, only an open mind and an interest in dancing! Instructor: Heidi Korhonen, Move with Heidi.

Skinnarila School (Address Ostosraitti 3)  

Take part and come and create your own graffiti! The graffiti workshop is for everyone interested in graffiti. The workshop is an opportunity to paint graffiti outdoors in a licensed location in the old Skinnarila school, and you can join in as a beginner as well as a more experienced artist. Instructor: Santtu Tuomola.

Breeze of Art Painting Workshop

The Main Library, Ulla-sali (Address Kaivokatu 5, 53100 Lappeenranta)

The Breeze of Art painting workshop is a low-threshold workshop focusing on presence; seeking the courage and joy to paint. Participants do not need to have any previous experience or knowledge of painting. The group meets twice. The workshop will involve watercolour painting. The materials are available on site. The workshop includes an introduction to the topic, painting and, if you wish, a story or shared painting process in pairs or groups. Instructor: Tea Kuikko, from Kuviopaja Oy.
