Services and events


The Town Hall is open Monday - Friday from 8 - 16.

Customer Service Center Winkki doors are open from 9 -10 for elderly and other special risk groups and other visitors between 10-12 daily. Online services are provided Monday - Friday between 9 -16. Please contact primarily by phone 358 5 616 2220 or email winkki@lappeenranta.fi.

Early childhood education and primary education and upper secondary schools


The units of early childhood education remain in operation.
The Finnish Government recommends that custodians arrange the care of their children at home whenever possible.

Primary education and upper secondary schools
Primary education for pupils in classes 1 – 3 and pupils with special needs in classes 1 - 9 remain in operation. Pupils and students in other classes will study remotely.
Schools inform custodians of the teaching arrangements, rights to contact instruction, school transport and other exceptions in more detail. Please follow Wilma daily.

Libraries, museums, youth facilities, physical exercise facilities and the theatre


All libraries, museums, youth facilities, physical exercise facilities and the theatre will be closed until May 13.

Concerts and public events organized by the city and market places

Concerts and public events organized by the city will be cancelled as well as public events and second-hand sales at market places and squares until May 31.

Sales at the Market Square remains in operation.

 

Public transport


Local public transport operates according to the summer schedule.
Bus line 100 between Lappeenranta and Imatra operates normally.

Purchased seasonal tickets will not be compensated to avoid crowds at customer service centres.
